Veracious is on course to Come Back from a midsummer Fracture in next month’s Kingdom.
Having opened her account at Group One level in her last start at the Falmouth Stakes in July, the girl of Frankel will rush to follow up by providing trainer Sir Michael Stoute a fifth victory in the mile contest, after finishing the field 12 weeks past.
Though not sighted for two or more months, the Cheveley Park Stud-owned four-year-old is reported for her planned recovery on October 5 in good arrangement.
Cheveley Park Stud managing director Chris Richardson said:”Veracious is going into the Sun Chariot, all being well.
“She has been fine, and Sir Michael Stoute only wanted to freshen up her and let her encounter it in her own time.
“We are very happy with her, and she worked nicely on Saturday. All being well, the intention is to let her cruise into the race today.”
Veracious’ prospects staying outside her start looking increasing with her owners seeming keen to maintain her in coaching season in training.
Richardson added:”I think Mr and Mrs Thompson are considering hurrying on with Veracious next calendar year.
“That is one reason why she has not been rushed. They’ve very much taken the opinion that she will be staying in training a year ago.”
Provided conditions are suitable, stablemate Regal Truth is going to be extended a third effort at Group 1 level at the Qipco Champion Stakes on October 19 – having finished fifth in the month Juddmonte International at York.
Richardson added:”I believe we are probably looking towards the Champion Stakes with Regal Reality. He just missed the rest and I understand they’ve been working hard in acquiring him way from the gate easier.
“He does not need soft ground, so we will need to keep a watch out for that. I believe he is a sophisticated horse and he is another that will remain in training next year.”
